The friendly home of curling in South Vancouver
Here at the Marpole Curling Club we pride ourselves on being the friendliest group of curlers you’ll ever meet. With a focus on recreational curling, our club offers something for everyone, and is committed to providing the highest standard of service to participants of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Our facility was built in 1959 and still holds the same inviting atmosphere that it did back then. With six sheets of ice, a cafe, bar/lounge, games room and meeting room, we are able to accommodate events of all kinds. We are continuing to work on our club to ensure it is up-to-date, while still respecting its history and character.
A place to meet, curl, eat and drink
Our facility is full of character and includes six sheets of ice, lower & upper viewing areas, a cafe, and a spacious lounge with a walk-up bar. Adjoining the lounge we also have a meeting room and a games room . Our facility is fully wheelchair accessible. Please click on the windows below to learn more about our space.
Give it your best shot!
Curling is a true sport for life. From the youth to the elderly, it has something to offer everyone with a variety of adapted versions of the game. BC is home to oldest curler in the world at 102 years old. Curling is an excellent recreational sport which offers physical activity & social interaction.
We love to introduce new people to the game of curling and invite you into the club so we can show you the ropes. Individuals, groups, schools and companies of all ages and abilities are welcome. We supply rental brooms, grippers (for both feet – PLEASE BRING CLEAN RUNNING SHOES) and step-on glider sliders, and if your group does not have an experienced curler, we’ll provide instruction as well.
Bookings can be made up to 3 days in advance. Visit our online booking system to book your curling sheets. Spots available for booking will appear as appointments. If you have any special requests regarding booking, please contact Melinda at 604-327-3400 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Because friendship is a two-way street
We’re friendly and social here at the Marpole Curling Club, and know that a good friendship takes effort from both sides. That’s why we’re committed to keeping in touch with all the important (and sometimes not as important, but just plain fun) information you need. However, in order for us to do this successfully we need a lending hand on your end; so please follow our social media sites, sign up for our mailing list and provide your feedback on how you think we are doing.

“I just took a lesson with Robbie Gallaugher (Sept 12th) and was very pleased. I started curling last year and Robbie quickly picked up on what I needed help with technically. He made it easy to understand and really helped me in the short time we had together. He also showed me some drills I could do to work on the tips he gave me.
Robbie also explained the events coming up, showed me the website on his computer and told me about the Open House which I will be attending. Robbie is going to be a great asset to the Marpole Curling Club!” Sue – Sept 13, 2012
